Western strongly encourages students to book their quarantine accommodations through Western, and is provided at a local hotel, inclusive of meal service. The cost for newly arriving full-degree students is $100/day plus applicable taxes.

Western University is committed to supporting your arrival to campus. If you do not have a suitable place to self-quarantine, the University will support you with those arrangements. By registering with Western-arranged quarantine accommodation, a supporting Travel Logistics Plan will be provided to assist with clearing customs. A financial relief fund has also been established for students in need of financial assistance to support self-quarantine.

You are required to complete the following "Western-arranged quarantine accommodations" to secure a space at a designated location.

WESTERN-ARRANGED QUARANTINE ACCOMMODATION PACKAGES INCLUDE MEAL DELIVERY

Packages are based on an 11-night stay, after you have completed the mandatory hotel stopover at a government approved hotel. (Rates will be adjusted based on length of stay changes).

Student Quarantine Package A, for newly arriving graduate and undergraduate students $1,100.00*

This subsidized rate is available to full-degree students newly (Western students - all programs, all years) arriving from outside of Canada to study at Western University main campus. Students who are currently in Canada who choose to travel internationally are not eligible for the subsidized rate. Students must also be entering Canada for the first time since March 2020 to be eligible.

Quarantine Package B, for postdocs, visiting research (VRO) students, and visiting faculty $1,705.00*

This rate also applies to students that are NOT entering Canada for the first time since March 2020

Additional Guest Package C, for spouses and family members (per person) $778.00*

(Brescia,Huron, Kings and WELC Students are not eligible for Package A and are encouraged to speak to their international offices to book accommodation supports)

A Logistics Coordinator will be in touch within 7 - 10 days with your Western-arranged quarantine accommodation location, and your supporting Travel Logistics plan documentation required for customs and booking land travel.
