R Workshop #5

Data Manipulation in R

Cleaning, manipulating, and preparing data is a necessary component for any analysis. This new workshop will introduce the use of tidyverse, a series R packages (including ddplyr and ggplot2) that are some of the most popular packages. Tidyverse packages work together to filter, sort, transform, and visualize different types of data, and are valuable for exploratory data analysis. You will also learn how to conduct feature engineering for machine learning tasks. 

This workshop is intended for those with a good understanding of R and are ready to extend their knowledge with more advanced tools. Attending the Intermediate R Workshop is sufficient to prepare you for this one. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own computers, but please ensure that both R and RStudio are installed, as well as tidyverse packages.  

The workshop will be held in the Weldon Instruction Room (Ground floor, Map & Data Centre, Weldon Library).
